Karolina, as Rosie knows her
Karolina can tell you who designed almost any building in SW1, and she will only do so if you ask. That restraint is the key to her. She is slim and stands a clear 174 cm, her black hair hanging long and perfectly straight, her eyes a deep brown that gives little away, and she dresses in clean, minimal lines: a black coat with no visible buttons, a crisp white shirt, a single silver cuff. Nothing is fussy and nothing is accidental.
Discretion comes naturally to her. So does a dry wit that arrives without warning and leaves you laughing a beat later. She is in her late twenties and speaks English precisely, never spending three words where one will do. Piano is her oldest companion, and she still practises most days. Opera is her indulgence; she knows the plots well enough to make them sound far more sensible than they are. Weekends are for long architecture walks, from Victorian churches to the newest towers of glass.
For an evening in Westminster she chooses The Cinnamon Club, housed in the former public library building on Great Smith Street, its book-lined galleries still looking down over the dining room. She will point out the original shelving, order with confidence, and somehow make the bells of the Abbey outside sound like part of the plan. Afterwards, a turn around Parliament Square in the dark is her idea of the perfect digestif, the stone lit gold and the river just out of sight.
Covent Garden is home, close enough to reach Westminster and any SW1 hotel quickly. Durations from £400 are listed on the rates page; ask Rosie on WhatsApp or Telegram and describe the evening you have in mind.

Home: Covent Garden
An opera night takes a little planning, so give Rosie a few days for a performance and supper, usually booked as the dinner date, £1,300 for four hours. Shorter weeknight visits can often be arranged the same evening.
How Karolina likes an evening to go
Karolina's evenings have the clarity of a well built room. There is always a beginning, usually a drink somewhere with high ceilings, where she asks what brought you to London and listens without once interrupting. There is a middle, perhaps a recital or an hour at the opera, after which she summarises the plot in three wicked sentences. And there is an ending chosen with care: a walk past the floodlit Abbey, a nightcap in the hush of your hotel, the city reduced to a distant hum. She rarely checks the time and never fills a silence for the sake of it. Guests often say afterwards that the evening felt longer than it was, in the best possible way, like a piece of music played at exactly the right tempo.
Asked and answered, by Karolina
3 questions guests often put to Karolina before a first evening.
Westminster Cathedral, the striped brick one near Victoria. People rush past it on the way to the station, and it deserves far better.
A slow Schubert piece that sounds simple and is not. I have spent a month on the same four bars.
Something short, with a famous tune in the first act and a good supper booked afterwards. Nobody should suffer through opera on an empty stomach.

Guest notes on Karolina
Nothing has been written in Karolina's guest book yet, and none will ever be invented for her. A note appears here only after a real evening, once Rosie has read it through.
