Rosa, as Rosie knows her
Rosa owns more records than plates, and she is not the least bit embarrassed about it. Warm, earthy and easy to be around, she has chestnut brown hair that curls long and wild, eyes of a soft brown, and a curvy figure of 160 cm. Her style is relaxed and bohemian, a flowing skirt with a fitted top and a shell necklace she found on a beach years ago and has never taken off.
Within ten minutes you will feel you have known her for years. She is in her mid twenties, with an unhurried warmth to her English and a love of long conversations over good food. Baking is her therapy: bread, cakes, and the occasional soufflé that collapses spectacularly. Record collecting is the treasure hunt, Saturday mornings spent flicking through crates in secondhand shops. Galleries fill the gaps in between, especially small ones with a single room and a kind owner.
When she comes to Belgravia she cannot resist Peggy Porschen on Elizabeth Street, the pink-fronted bakery framed in flowers, where she will critique the cakes with genuine expertise. Then a slow stroll towards Victoria and a relaxed supper somewhere cosy, where she explains her latest vinyl find and why the B side is always the better one. If the night is warm she will want to walk part of the way back, stopping at every lit shop window on the route.

Rosa's evenings feel like dropping in on a good friend who happens to be very beautiful. She might arrive with a small box of pastries, still warm, and insist you try one before anything else. Dinner is somewhere cosy with a candle on the table and a menu that is short and honest. She loves a gallery opening if there is one, and a slow walk if there is not.
