Roxi, as Rosie knows her
You usually hear Roxi before you see her: a bright laugh from the far end of the bar, and then the long black hair and a smile that changes the temperature of the room. Curvy and 168 cm, with brown eyes that sparkle with mischief, she wears her glamour tropical, a gold dress, an orchid tucked behind one ear on holiday, a tan that somehow lasts all year.
Playful, confident and vivacious, Roxi collects friends wherever she goes. She is in her early twenties and her English is quick and full of humour. Boxing classes keep her fit and have given her a strong, graceful stance along with a competitive streak she laughs about. Podcasts keep her company on every journey, especially ones about unsolved mysteries and odd corners of history, and whenever she can she escapes to the coast with a surfboard, a flask of coffee and no fixed plan for getting home.
In Pimlico she likes The Orange on Pimlico Road, a handsome corner pub with a relaxed dining room upstairs, where she can hold court at a window table. She will share her latest podcast theory over dinner and challenge you to solve it before dessert. Afterwards the hotels of Belgravia and Victoria are only a few minutes away, and she tends to insist on walking, partly for the air and partly to finish the argument about the podcast.

How Roxi likes an evening to go
An evening with Roxi is lively from the first minute. She arrives with a story, usually something she heard on a podcast that morning about a lost ship or an unsolved theft, and she wants your theory before she tells you hers. Dinner is somewhere with a buzz, a busy pub dining room or a bright little bistro, and she eats with real appetite. She describes the perfect wave she caught last summer and the one that sent her tumbling into the shallows a moment later. There is plenty of laughter, a little teasing and a surprising amount of listening. By the end of the night she has softened into something warmer and quieter, and the conversation carries on long after the plates are cleared.
