Thea, as Rosie knows her
Thea cycles almost everywhere in London and tends to arrive with pink cheeks and a bright smile, entirely unapologetic about either. There is something wonderfully natural about her. Curvy and 165 cm, caramel blonde to well below the shoulders and green of eye, she keeps her style sunlit and simple: a white shirt, well cut jeans or a soft summer dress, very little makeup.
Down to earth is the phrase that fits her best. Cheerful and warm, somewhere in her late twenties, Thea has a laugh that relaxes people at once and an English that is friendly and direct. Hiking is her great escape, long days across hills and coastlines with a map and a flask; cycling keeps her fit in the city; and Japanese food is her favourite indulgence, from delicate sashimi to a steaming bowl of ramen on a cold night.
In this part of London she loves Dinings SW3 on Walton Street, a calm and beautiful Japanese restaurant between Knightsbridge and Chelsea, where she likes to sit at the counter and let the chef decide. Afterwards the short walk up to Sloane Street feels like the perfect digestif, especially on a clear, cool night with the shop windows glowing.

Thea's evenings are warm, relaxed and gently adventurous. She might suggest meeting a little early to walk through Hyde Park, pointing out the best trees for climbing and describing the hills she crossed last weekend. Then supper at a Japanese counter, where she chats with the chef, asks what came in fresh that day and orders one dish she has never tried. She talks about a coastal path she walked in spring, the sea on one side and sheep on the other, and about her ambition to cycle from London to the coast in a single day. She is easy company, curious and kind, and by the time you are back at your hotel the whole evening carries the glow of a good day outdoors.
