Molly, as Rosie knows her
Molly can identify a classic Jaguar by the note of its engine before it turns the corner, and she will name the year with a grin. That grin is the first thing you notice and the last thing you forget. Her dark brown hair tumbles in loose, generous waves well past the shoulder, a black flick of liner sharpens her brown eyes, and her curvy 164 cm figure looks equally good in a red dress or a sharp black jumpsuit. Bold glamour, with a flirtatious edge she clearly enjoys.
Good company is her natural state. Warm, playful and entirely confident, Molly is somewhere in her mid twenties and has a laugh that sets off everyone near it. The English she speaks is full of teasing and quick asides. House music is her weekend soundtrack, and she knows every producer worth knowing; craft cocktails are the other passion, and she treats a good bartender as she would a good musician. Classic cars are the unexpected obsession, and a Sunday car show is her idea of heaven.
Zuma, on Raphael Street, is her Knightsbridge bar of choice: the room hums, the music is well chosen and the cocktails are taken seriously. She orders something with yuzu, slides onto a stool and has half the bar talking within ten minutes. When the energy is right she may propose one more drink somewhere close by; when it is late she is just as happy to slip back to the quiet of your hotel.
Soho is home, and a cab gets her to Knightsbridge and the rest of SW1 quickly. She is at her best later in the evening, so ask Rosie via booking and mention where you are staying.
In brief
Off duty: house music, craft cocktails, classic cars
Stands 164 cm, curvy
Hair dark brown in loose generous waves; eyes brown
In her mid twenties
Home: Soho
Molly prefers bookings that begin after nine. Two hours at £750 fits a drink at the bar and time together afterwards, and later requests on the same night are often fine.
How Molly likes an evening to go
Molly's evenings start when other people's are winding down. She will message at nine to say she is on her way, arrive in something red and immediately ask what you are drinking. Then comes the fun part: a bar with a proper sound system, a bartender she charms into making something off the menu, and a playlist she critiques track by track. She might describe a vintage roadster she saw at a Sunday show, the colour of its leather in loving detail, and swear she will own one before she turns forty. As midnight approaches the music softens, and so does she. Back at your hotel she puts on something mellow from her phone, drops her heels by the door and makes herself comfortable until the small hours.
Asked and answered, by Molly
3 questions guests often put to Molly before a first evening.
A dark green roadster from the sixties, roof down, somewhere with bends. I would drive it badly and love every second.
A bassline that arrives slowly and a drop you can feel in your chest. If it builds for four whole minutes, I am happy.
I tell the bartender what I like and let them choose. My favourite drinks all came from those two words: surprise me.
